The course will cover the MIM technology from the design to the development of parts, including feedstock design and characterization and sintering. In the course, specific issues regarding the MIM technology applied to different materials, such as stainless steels, hard materials, superalloys, heavy alloys, titanium, etc, will be also covered. Lectures will be given by experts from academia and industry. Practical work at the labs of the Universidad Carlos III of Madrid will follow all the steps of the technology: powder characterizing, binder and feedstocks optimizing, debinding and sintering. Also, a practical work on binder-based 3D printing will be offered.
